Capita hires new COO

Capita Insurance Distribution has appointed Andrew Beer as chief operating officer.

Beer will oversee all aspects of operations, IT and management information. Stuart Anderson has also been appointed as sales and marketing director.

Beer and Anderson's focus will initially be on encouraging further growth of the business’ core of private car and household policies, complemented by a range of “niche” products including pet, classic car and motorbike.

Beer will manage the day-to-day operations of Capita Insurance Distribution. He has worked at Capita since 2005 and has held a number of roles including managing director of Insurance Services BPO.

Anderson has nearly 20 years’ experience, working most recently for Homeserve Emergency Services as strategic development director.
