Capita lands Lewis from Zurich UK

Capita Insurance Services has hired former Zurich Global Corporate UK boss Wayne Lewis as its general insurance finance director.

In the last seven years he has be chief executive, chief financial officer and chief operations officer of Zurich’s Global Corporate UK business.

Prior to this, he held senior executive roles at QBE European Operations, GE Frankona and Norwich Union.

Lewis will alongside Capita’s general insurance business head Brent Escott (below), who said: “As our operations grow and our team provides new and innovative services to the market, we are attracting more and more top industry talent.

“Wayne’s finance credentials are second to none in the UK insurance industry and we are fortunate to have someone of his experience to head up our finance function. His experience of our industry, particularly the kind of large institutions Capita works closely with, will bring added depth to our senior management team.”
