Capita hands Derek Henry new role covering Lloyd's market

Capita Insurance Services has appointed Derek Henry as managing director of Capita’s commercial insurance business.

Henry will report to Capita’s insurance and investor services division director, Vic Gysin, who said: “This appointment will allow us to deliver long term and sustainable strategic successes in the London Market and wider commercial sector and underlines Capita’s commitment to the insurance industry.”

Henry was previously executive director responsible for sales and marketing and the company’s businesses in continental Europe and Australia. He joined Capita in 2006 from RAC.

He will sit on the board of both Capita Commercial Insurance Services and holding company Capita Insurance Services.

In his new role, he will have responsibility for Capita’s commercial insurance business covering the London and international insurance markets, managing and developing relationships with key institutions and market bodies, including Lloyds.
