The WR Berkley group's (re)insurance business - Berkley Insurance - has received a capital injection from the group of approximately $50m (£35m), it was reported today.
This brings the statutory policyholders' surplus to approximately $700m (£492m).
The US-based company was also given a capital injection of $44m (£31m) in the last quarter of 2001.
