David Pink names sales manager, private client group

Chartis has hired former Hiscox underwriter David Pink as sales manager in its private client group (PCG).

He will be based in London, reporting to vice president of the UK private client group Guy Huntley.

In his new role, Pink will be responsible for ensuring that PCG significantly develops its existing proposition.

Directly before joining Chartis, Huntley was managing an insurance project for wealth manager Elan Financial Group.

This followed a five-year term at Hiscox in various roles, most recently as development underwriter. While at Hiscox, Pink managed partner and affinity relationships and ran high- and mid-net-worth schemes.

Commenting on Pink’s appointment, Huntley said: “Despite the ongoing uncertainty around the economic outlook, there is still a strong market appetite for high net worth cover and  Chartis PCG is entering a dynamic new phase of expansion to help meet that demand.”

“David is the ideal appointment to help oversee our ambitious plans for growth. He will drive increased market recognition of the breadth and experience of our team, our global reach and the unique features of many of our products.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
