Chartis UK has appointed Laura Wilkinson (pictured) as regional manager, Midlands and South West.

Wilkinson will succeed Richard Jinks, who was recently appointed UK middle market and SME distribution manager.

“As we look to deliver our vision to be the UK’s most valued insurer by 2015, the strength of our regional teams has become a key asset, focusing on customer service, growth and distribution strategy,” Chartis UK managing director Nicholas Auber said.

“We are delighted to have nurtured our regional talent, and Laura’s knowledge of the local market will be a great advantage as we rebrand and enter a new, exciting era as AIG.”

Wilkinson joined AIG in 2006 as business development manager, progressing to manage financial lines in the Midlands and South West region in 2007.

In 2011 she was appointed regional sales manager, where she shaped and implemented the firm’s distribution strategy.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
