Chubb opts for a rebrand to reflect broader M&A product solutions and continued spacialisation in the sector

Chubb Insurance has re-branded its former “Warranties & Indemnities” team as “Mergers and Acquisitions Insurance” to reflect its continued specialisation in the M&A sector.

The re-brand was also designed to highlight Chubb’s broader product solutions for M&A transactions. To coincide with the expansion the company announced the appointment of Alex Christians as senior underwriter and legal counsel to the M&A team. Alex was previously at Reed Smith Richards Butler LLP, where he was a senior solicitor in the Corporate Group.

Robert Brown, UK and Ireland manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Insurance, at Chubb said: “We are delighted Alex has joined our M&A team, which is a growth area of our business, and I am sure that Alex’s wealth of knowledge and experience will contribute to further growth of the division; he has an impressive professional profile which will be valuable to the business and further enhance the service Chubb provides.”

Jeremy Miles, UK and Ireland manager, specialty insurance, at Chubb said: “Chubb Insurance specialises in providing insurance solutions for the M&A sector, which has its own needs as a client group. This has been a strong area of growth for us and, with this expansion and our expertise and experience, we expect to expand significantly as we move forward.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
