A woman who falsely claimed she tripped on a dangerous pavement was jailed for four months yesterday.
Sandra Stevenson attempted to gain compensation for a serious back injury which she alleged happened when she fell over a missing drain cover in Liverpool, reports said.
In fact the injury reportedly happened when she was moving furniture in her home.
Stevenson was found guilty of attempted deception by a magistrates' court and sentenced to four months imprisonment.
