Converium Holdings AG, and it subsidiary Coverium Holdings (North America) (CVNA), have been assigned long-term ratings of 'BBB+' by rating agency Fitch Ratings.
The rating has also been assigned to CVNA's $200m unsecured debt taken out to prepare Converium for its spin-off from the third party reinsurance operations of Zurich Financial Services in 2002.
Converium is now the world's 8th largest reinsurer.
