Gavin Dollings will be responsible for Covéa’s commercial underwriting strategy

Covéa Insurance has appointed Gavin Dollings as its new director of commercial underwriting.

In his new role Dollings will be responsible for the insurer’s commercial underwriting strategy.

He will also play a role in broadening broker partner relationships and increasing the insurer’s footprint.

Gavin has spent the last ten years at Allianz where he was regional manager for the South East and before this headed their UK Casualty and Construction account.

Covéa Insurance commercial lines and high net worth director Simon Cooter said: “We are committed to the sustainable profitable growth of our commercial lines business and Gavin will play a key role in driving the underwriting strategy to support that.

“His knowledge of the market and the needs of our broker partners and customers will also ensure that we continue to develop compelling market leading products to support our ambitions.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
