Crawford & Company, the provider of claims management solutions, has announced it is rolling out a hand-held tablet PC known as Project Delta to its personal lines adjusters.
Crawford & Company said it will be used by adjusters on-site to significantly speed up the claims process.
Sam Friend, Crawford & Company IT director said:
"Delta...is designed to help reach a settlement on-site and reduce or eliminate follow-up work.
"The added use of 3G data connectivity means that not a moment is wasted in finding the information to assist the policyholder or sending the outcome of the visit to a claims centre for conclusion."
