Seventeen holidaymakers on an ill-fated flight into Ibiza have obtained damages believed to be around £10,000 each from Leisure International Airways after the plane careered off the runway into waist-high undergrowth.
Many of the passengers on the Airbus suffered a variety of injuries and most were badly shocked by the incident on May 21, 1998.
Oldham law firm Megson Ponsonby represented 17 passengers who had insurance cover through Lawassist.
The airline, which was insured through Lloyd's, settled out of court.
