UK warranty revenues are up 12.2% and international warranty revenues up by 103.8%

Domestic & General Group has announced that revenues in the core warranty business have risen 16.5% over 2006.

The company said: “UK warranty revenues are up 12.2% and international warranty revenues up by 103.8%. Total revenues including other activities have increased by 12.6%. Earned income has risen by 9.3%.”

On 21 May 2007, D&G announced that it had received an approach from Homeserve which may or may not lead to an offer for the company.

On 28 June 2007 the company announced that it had also received similar approaches from a number of other interested parties.

D&G said discussions are continuing and a further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.

Both John Ritchie, deputy chief executive, and Colin Honey, non-executive director, have agreed to remain on the board until those discussions are completed.
