Top UK insurer confirms that Carillion, which collapsed into liquidation yesterday, is its facilities manager
Following an Insurance Times report that Carillion had a large contract with it, Direct Line Group has now confirmed that Carillion is its facilities manager.
A spokesperson for Direct Line Group commented, “Although it is too early to advise on the impact of the Carillion administration, we have robust contingency plans in place to maintain continuity and protect the environment in which our staff work.”
Construction behemoth Carillion tumbled into liquidation following a troubled weekend. It employs 43,000 staff worldwide and holds contracts in construction, integrated support services and public private partnership projects.
