Motor insurance broker DNA Insurance has taken over Carter Gilbrook's personal lines business.

The move will see the Chadwell Heath-based broker add £500,000 to its current gross written premiums of £3m and will increase its number of policyholders to 8,000.

DNA co-founder Danny Imray said: “This gives us more customers, and slots well into our portfolio. Next year we are looking to push into new areas with a commercial arm and to get our premium income up to £5m by the end of 2005.”

Imray, and his business partner Alf Costa, will continue to head up the combined business.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
