DUAL International will add Lloyd’s insurers Liberty and Barbican to its panel of capacity providers for global financial lines from 1 October.

The two join existing capacity providers Arch, Hiscox and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG).

The company has also added Beach & Associates as a broker on its global financial lines portfolio.

Dual International chief executive Damien Coates said: “This is an extremely important strategic step for DUAL; broadening our insurer relationships is a key element in our geographic and product growth and brings further balance to our business.

“It is particularly important to us that insurers of the quality of Arch, Barbican, Hiscox, Liberty and MSIG see the strength in our technical distribution capability and growth plans. I am excited to welcome Barbican and Liberty on board, and I would like to thank Arch, Hiscox and MSIG for their long-standing support as we continue to build DUAL.”

Liberty’s Gordon McBurney said: ”DUAL’s strong infrastructure and recognised expertise in SME financial lines makes for an exciting alternative distribution platform, which Liberty are delighted to be supporting.”

Barbican chief underwriting officer Mark Harrington added: “This partnership is an important new venture for Barbican, giving us access via DUAL’s specialist underwriters to markets in which we do not currently operate. We are looking forward to continuing our journey with DUAL.”
