David Armstrong joins Hyperion-owned MGA

Underwriting agency DUAL has hired former ACE underwriter David Armstrong as regional development underwriter for the south-east of the UK.

In his new role Armstrong will be responsible for supporting and developing DUAL’s network of broking partners and developing the financial lines business.

Armstrong spent eight years at ACE in underwriting roles, most recently developing the directors’ and officers’ liability (D&O) underwriting network for the south-east region.

Before ACE, he worked at broking group Aon in the D&O division.

DUAL chief executive Shane Doyle said: “This new role will enable us to better service brokers around the London orbital and the south-east, who will benefit from David’s focus on developing our distribution network.

“It’s an exciting time for DUAL, as we launch and develop products to meet the needs of our clients, and David is well positioned to provide solutions for our broking partners in the south-east.”

Armstrong will be attached to DUAL’s regional office in Manchester run by UK regional manager Martin Joyce.
