Aviva today won European Commission approval to buy UK motor services company RAC.
The commission said in a statement: “After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition.”
A spokesman at Aviva said the company now expects to see an influx of acceptances from RAC shareholders waiting for EC approval.
