Antony Smith had been at Endsleigh for 33 years

Endsleigh sales and marketing director Antony Smith has stepped down from the broker after 33 years with the Zurich-owned broker.

Smith was responsible for the development of customer propositions in select markets, including students and professionals.

He was also responsible for product propositions for motor, property, travel, commercial and life. In his role he was also responsible for insurer profitability.

Smith has not been directly replaced, but Sara Newell, a member of the senior leadership team has taken on many of his responsibilities as personal lines development director.

A spokeswoman for Endsleigh said: “Tony has taken the decision to leave Endsleigh to explore new challenges outside of the company.

“He leaves Endsleigh with our very best wishes after 33 years, and we wish him well for the future.”
