Tim Larden to run charity insurance specialist Ladbrook
Former Endsleigh commercial head Tim Larden has bought Sheffield-based broker Ladbrook Insurance for an undisclosed sum.
Ladbrook, founded in 2000 by Martin Ladbrook, specialises in arranging insurance for charities, voluntary organisations and community groups.
Larden (pictured) will run the company as full-time managing director. Martin Ladbrook will retire on completion of the deal. Marie Hallowes will remain with the business as operations director.
Larden left Endsleigh in October 2014 after five years with the Zurich-owned broker.
He said: “After five successful years growing the Endsleigh commercial team, I was seeking an opportunity to lead and own a new business.
“Ladbrook Insurance is a great platform from which to seek new opportunities in the charity sector. It offers independent advice and I am looking forward to working with their experienced team.”
Martin Ladbrook added: “It was important to me to find an exit that would allow the business to continue in its current form. I am delighted that the future of Ladbrook is bright and look forward to seeing the business succeed.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
