Beachcroft Wansbroughs has confirmed that the House of Lords will hear an appeal by Judith Fairchild in the case of Fairchild v Glenhaven Funeral Authorities and others.

The review, which will be heard on 24 April, should clear up confusion surrounding asbestos disease mesothelioma. The original decision relieved insurers of hundreds of claims because the claimant could not prove which defendant exposed them to asbestos fibres.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
