Lyons will join Oamps’ Melbourne office in early 2014
Oamps has hired Sarah Lyons as head of commercial broking.
The former Giles Group managing director will join the insurance broker’s Melbourne office in early 2014.
Lyons has more than 25 years’ experience in the industry and is currently the chief finance and operations officer of UK Global Risk Solutions.
Oamps chief executive Mike Cutter said Lyons’s ‘oustanding’ achievement of managing 40 branches while at Giles and integrating 22 acquisitions over an 18-month period was a major draw, particularly given Oamps’s increasing focus on making strategic acquisitions.
“The head of commercial broking role is critical to our ongoing success, given our geographic spread and breadth of industries and segments,” Cutter added.
“We have a strong team managing our commercial business and I’m confident that Sarah’s experience and capabilities are what the business needs to pursue long-term growth.”
