Paul Cosh becomes commercial director at ULR

Accident management firm ULR has appointed Paul Cosh as commercial director with effect from 1st May.

Cosh was the founder of Hero Insurance Services and latterly director of Highway Insurance Group. He stepped down in March after the business was sold to Capita Group for £15m by LV.

Cosh plans to take a small number of such development and non-executive roles. He said he was pleased to join ULR as the first of these engagements.

“I have been impressed with the company’s ambitious growth plans as well as their current business. ULR has some excellent business partners, well developed systems, a great corporate philosophy and, most importantly, brilliant staff relationships perhaps best measured by their low turnover of staff and longevity.”

ULR is one of the largest providers of accident management services in the UK with a product range that includes personal, household and commercial legal expenses, key insurance, identity theft cover and many more areas.

Nigel Sayer and Robert Kay, respectively chief executive and managing director of ULR, had been looking to build the company’s development capability

“We are delighted that Paul is joining our team as we continue to build our business and further develop our range of products and services," they said. "He brings extensive experience of many parts of the general insurance sector and retail distribution generally."
