Webster joins Morgan Sindall Professional Services as MD

Former Merlin chief executive Richard Webster has been appointed managing director of construction firm Morgan Sindall Professional Services.

Webster joined design and engineering consultancy Morgan Sindall last week, where he will be responsible for driving the strategic development and performance of the business.

Morgan Sindall managing director Graham Shennan said: “I am delighted to welcome Richard to Morgan Sindall.

“His proven ability and extensive experience gained across a number of service-related organisations will be invaluable in continuing to drive Morgan Sindall Professional Services forward and delivering benefits across the breadth of the Morgan Sindall group.”

Merlin went into administration last month and more than 200 staff lost their jobs.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
