RK Harrison-backed agency seeks growth in UK and abroad

Appoint, appointment, hand, handshake, shake, new, join

RK Harrison-backed managing general agency (MGA) Aqueduct Underwriting (Aqua) has hired former Oxygen Insurance Brokers chief executive Graham Elliott as its new managing director.

Elliott joins an executive team comprising previous managing director Jonathan Rouse, Paul Wood and Ashley Cole.

Rouse remains a board director of Aqua despite handing the reins to Elliott.

Elliott’s appointment is designed to expand Aqua’s executive team to support the MGA’s continued growth in the UK and new international opportunities.

Rouse said: “Graham’s appointment is clear evidence of our commitment to build on the initial successes of Aqua. His knowledge and expertise are important in the realisation of our strategy to further strengthen our team, both in the UK market and as we now focus on a number of exciting opportunities in the international markets.”

Elliot joined RK Harrison in February 2012. He left Oxygen after its corporate risks team transferred to Gallagher Heath in January 2012. Oxygen Holdings went into liquidation in August.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
