Cassidy Davis appoints loss adjustor.

GAB Robins has been appointed by Lloyd's insurer Cassidy Davis to provide investigation services on payment protection insurance (PPI) claims.

GAB Robins’s dedicated Investigation Service Team will provide support to Cassidy Davis's Syndicate 5820 claims operation, identifying and reviewing potentially suspicious or fraudulent claims, and devising a bespoke investigation plan, in order to resolve them.

Commenting on the decision to appoint GAB Robins, Mark Jacobs, claims manager of Cassidy Davis, said: “PPI cover is a crucial protection in the current economic environment so it is important that legitimate claims are settled quickly.

"However, industry statistics show the volume of fraudulent claims is also increasing. Therefore, we needed a fast and effective process to identify those claims we felt needed further investigation. GAB Robins's reputation in claims investigation and their service capabilities made them the right partner at the right time.”

GAB Robins has developed a simplified pricing structure and process to deliver investigation services to a wider range of insurers and other instructing partners.

Neil Matthews, head of sales, GAB Robins UK, said: “Our appointment by Cassidy Davis demonstrates how our investigation service can be developed to respond to the needs of many different clients. We see real opportunities to extend the availability of these services through this more responsive structure.”
