Gallagher appoints James Anderson to take over from Clive de la Cour as managing director of Rossborogh

Gallagher has appointed a new group managing director of Rossborough.

Subject to regulatory approval, James Anderson will take over the personal and commercial lines broker based in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man  from 1 January 2018.

Anderson will succeed Clive de la Cour, who led the Jersey business for 10 years and the wider Rossborough Group for five,

De la Cour will take on the new role of chairman of Rossborough in January, continuing to look after his clients.

Anderson joined Gallagher three years ago. He is currently managing director of Brand Partners, part of Gallagher’s UK Small Business & Personal Lines division, which develops and delivers tailored insurance schemes for affinity partners including banks, retail brands, trade associations and membership organisations.

De la Cour added: “With James’ extensive leadership experience, reputation for developing innovative insurance solutions and his ability to develop insurance talent, he is the right person to lead Rossborough in the next stage of its development.”

David Birch — currently Sales Director for Gallagher’s Banking Partnerships in the UK — will step up to become managing director of Brand Partners.
