David Hynam succeeds David Bennett as chairman of HomeServe Membership

HomeServe Membership, the regulated UK business and subsidiary of HomeServe plc, has appointed David Hynam as the new chairman of its board.

Hynam, who is the chief executive of Bupa UK, succeeds David Bennet, the former chief executive Alliance & Leicester.

Hynam was appointed to the HomeServe Membership Board as a non-executive director and chair of the Remuneration Committee in 2014 and is a member of the Board Risk, Assurance and Compliance Committee.

Speaking of the appointment, Martin Bennett chief executive of HomeServe UK commented: “We’re delighted that David is our new chairman. As a board member over the last three years, he has made a significant contribution and I know he will build on the outstanding leadership of David Bennett, who served as our chair since 2012.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
