Lynam to head broker’s underwriting group Down Under
US broker Arthur J Gallagher has acquired Australian managing general agency (MGA) SRS Underwriting Agency.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
SRS Underwriting Agency (SRS), which was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Brisbane, offers a range of products including liability, construction, prestige home, professional risks, motor, and accident and health cover for their broker clients.
Paul Lynam will lead Gallagher’s underwriting group in Australia. He and his associates will continue to operate from SRS’s Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne locations under Gallagher’s international underwriting operations head John Hasting-Bass.
“For two decades, SRS has been successful in developing an underwriting team which is extremely well-known in the industry for its market-leading expertise, innovative products and first-class claims service,” Gallagher president and chief executive Patrick Gallagher said.
