Zurich Financial Services Group has agreed to sell its businesses in Poland, Hungary, Solvakia and the Czech Republic to the Generali Group.

The companies have also agreed to collaborate in these countries in the area of international corporate clients. Zurich says this is important as it will ensure that its international clients will be properly served in these countries.

The agreement is still subject to approval by the countries' authorities.

Zurich says this move is part of its strategy to focus on key markets in continental Europe.
