Broker swoops for expert to strengthen fleet

Brendan McManus, Giles

Giles Insurance has expanded its reach in the bus and coach sector with the hire of Andrew Sinclair who will lead the company’s Rayleigh office.

The appointment strengthens Giles’ transport specialism offering to four offices in Rayleigh, High Wycombe, Bristol and Leeds.

Sinclair joins Giles from Belmont International where he worked in a development role with bus and coach operators and the Confederation of Passenger Transport. He has previously focused on providing insurance for several significant coach companies, as well as the UK’s second largest executive car fleet.

Giles chief executive Brendan McManus (pictured) said: “The hire of Andrew represents a significant stride forward for our fleet insurance sector offering. We are confident that high-quality staff like Andrew will strengthen Giles’s presence in the market and ultimately lead to an improved service for bus and coach operators. I look forward to working with Andrew and I am sure he will take the Rayleigh office forward.”

Sinclair commented: “I am delighted to be joining such a diverse and dynamic organisation as Giles. I intend to build on nearly 25 years’ experience in insurance and transport expertise to help make Giles the brand of choice for the bus and coach industry.”
