Giles to offer tailored policies for CORC members

Giles Insurance Brokers has been chosen as the exclusive broker for members of the Confederation of Roofing Contractors (CORC).

The broker is currently working to create tailored policies for CORC members, which it intends to add to its wider construction insurance portfolio.

CORC membership coordinator Allan Buchan said Giles was chosen over other brokers because it offered cover for more complex risks such as asbestos, which was a typical exclusion under many standard construction policies.

“We were also particularly interested in Giles because they are adept at working with members that may have larger or more specific contract requirements, needing the attention of an experienced handler and underwriter,” he added.

Giles’s Rayleigh branch director Andrew Sinclair said the broker planned to offer a dedicated service for CORC members which would include an exclusive telephone service.

“Not only can we offer in-house loss adjusters and a specialist claims unit, we can also allocate each CORC member a dedicated account handler to care for them throughout the process, helping them find the cover they need,” he said.
