Mark Chambers returns to his old role at Coral

Giles Insurance Brokers’ finance director Mark Chambers has quit to rejoin his old firm – bookmaking firm Coral.

He left the broker on 1 January.

Chambers joined Giles in 2008 from Coral as deputy finance director, and was promoted to finance director in November 2010.

Giles is not looking externally for Chambers’ replacement, but has instead internally hired a new deputy finance director, Alastair Hessett. Hessett was previously Giles’s group financial controller.

Chambers took over the finance director role in 2010 from Paul Matson, who went on to become chief financial officer for the Giles group – a role he retains.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
