David Gillan to oversee business in the North of England
International loss adjuster, MYI, announces today the recruitment of David Gillan as executive director.
Gillan, a Chartered Loss Adjuster, joins the UK executive team, which comprises Trevor Latimer (managing director), Graham Smart, Nigel Minett, Steven Wallace, Nigel Clarke and Kieran Gallagher.
Whilst Gillan will specifically oversee MYI’s operation in the north of the country, as with other members of the Executive Team, he will also manage a portfolio of losses and client accounts.
Gillan said: “The adjusting market has gone through significant change and there is now an increasing demand for the specialist, bespoke services delivered by niche firms. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed my time with UK Underwriting, I was keen to return to a technical loss adjusting environment and saw MYI as the market leaders in this field. The chance to reunite with former respected and trusted colleagues made this an ideal opportunity for me.”
MYI executive director, Graham Smart said: “I have worked closely with David for over 15 years and we trained and qualified together before both holding senior regional and national management positions. His calibre as both a technical loss adjuster and strategic manager are undoubted, as is his knowledge of and standing in the insurance markets in the north. He is perfectly suited to our business and his most recent insurer based experience will add a new dimension to the Executive team.
