Loss adjuster adds staff following significant growth in UK.

Loss adjuster McLarens Young International (MYI) has made five key hires across its London, Belfast and Glasgow offices.

Having met projected growth and profitability targets a year ahead of schedule, the expansion of the business is set to continue in 2008 across a diverse client base. Further recruitment is planned to ensure the retention of capacity.

Trevor Latimer, UK managing director for MYI, said: "The success of the firm over the past year has exceeded all expectations, and we are continually presented with opportunities, both in the UK and overseas. Demand for niche loss adjusting services is increasing across all market sectors."

Catherine Champkins and Matt Robinson have been named executive adjusters for the London office.

Champkins will handle large and complex liability claims with a particular focus on the product liability, recall and guarantee arenas, while Robinson will combine general material damage and business interruption loss adjusting with account management and development responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Heather McMillan joins MYI's Belfast office as an executive adjuster and Simon Hunter joins there as adjuster. McMillan, who has 30 years industry experience, will be involved principally in the handling of personal injury liability claims and motor claims investigations.

Hunter will focus on anti-fraud work across the UK and Ireland. Hunter has previous industry experience and also worked for the Police Service of Northern Ireland where he took a five-year career programme in civil and criminal investigation management.

Finally, Brendan Gallagher joins as an executive adjuster in Glasgow. Gallagher, who has worked for several UK and international adjusting firms over the past 11 years, will manage and handle key client accounts in the region.
