Broker

Glencairn
Ed Clark and Neil Carnt have joined Glencairn Risk Solutions, Glencairn's wholesale property and casualty arm.

Clark, who will handle international and US property books, joins from Tysers, where he worked on its North American and international property portfolio.

Carnt, who previously worked at Marsh on its UK liability account, will work on Glencairn's general liability account and develop and support the international book.

Crispin Speers
Crispin Speers has appointed motorsport specialist Adrian Hardy and 2005 British Touring Car Championship driver Richard Williams to spearhead its motorsport insurance portfolio.

Hardy and Williams, who both join from Marsh SLE, will work on new facilities including a collaboration with Lloyd's markets providing worldwide physical damage cover for all categories of racing cars while in storage and transit to include racing cover.

Alliance
Alliance has appointed Lee Revell as an account executive managing new corporate customers..

Revell joins from RP Hodson where he was business development manager.

Clear
Clear has appointed Paul Druckman as chairman.

Druckman is board director and chair of the Financial Reporting Council, and a former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Takeover Panel member.

Budget
Clive Fulcher has been appointed as senior motor products manager at Budget. He will head up the motor team within Budget's product development function.

Fulcher joined Budget in 2000, most recently working within product development where he helped to develop a number of insurer panels including Budget, Dial and Marks & Spencer.

Heath Lambert National
Heath Lambert National has appointed Donald Morgan as managing director of its Leeds branch to develop its Yorkshire regional business.

Morgan joins from Marsh, where he was head of office for its corporate client practice in Leeds.

Wellington Underwriting
Wellington Underwriting Agencies has appointed Rob Littlemore to underwrite a new casualty treaty account for its Lloyd's Syndicate 2020.

Littlemore was previously a casualty treaty underwriter. at Faraday.

Markel
Markel International has promoted Mark Warrilow to head up the crime business book within its specialty division.

Warrilow joined Markel in 1997 to underwrite its financial institutions account.

Canopius
Specialist Lloyd's underwriting group Canopius has appointed Stephen Manning to the board of Canopius Managing Agents as chief risk officer, subject to regulatory consents.

Manning was previously head of risk management at Lloyd's and a member of the Lloyd's senior management team.

Berryman Shacklock
Nottingham law firm Berryman Shacklock has appointed Leah Mee as marketing and business development executive.

Mee joins from 1st Call Direct Mortgages in Nottingham, where she was marketing and business co-ordinator.

DLA Piper
DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary's Birmingham office recently appointed motor fraud specialist Dipak Lad as head of insurance claims fraud.

Lad was previously fraud technical manager at Silverbeck Rymer in Manchester.

Parabis Law

Parabis Law has appointed Kath Newton as operations director with responsibility across the group including Plexus Law, personal injury specialist Badhams Law and claimant firms Rymills, Cogent and Laurus.

Prior to joining Parabis Newton spent 30 years at Royal & SunAlliance in a number of senior claims management positions.

Aascent
Aascent has promoted Charles Lawrence to the new position of UK business development manager .

Lawrence was previously a relationship manager within Aascent's broker development team.

Absolute
Claims management firm Absolute Customer Management has appointed Zarir Vakil as a director responsible for general management, sales and marketing and business growth.

Vakil was previously chief executive of an HR outsourcing firm and consultancy.

Active Risk Management
John Harley will become managing director of fleet specialist Active Risk Management (ARM) on 6 September.

Harley, who was previously head of the risk management team at ARM's parent, THB, will replace Dave Abbott, who is retiring from a full-time role to take up a non-executive consultancy position.

CMGL
Claims Management Group has appointed Andrew McNamee as client services manager.

McNamee joins from Marsh in Glasgow, where he was UK business risk consulting co-ordinator.

Mondial
Mondial has appointed Paul Doran as operations account manager for Nationwide.

Doran has worked at Mondial for five years, latterly as part of the team handling the Nationwide account - a three-year agreement between Nationwide and Mondial UK for the provision of Mondial's travel insurance and assistance services.

Viviane Gifford

Viviane Gifford has joined Oval's credit division in London as an account executive.

Gifford has 15 years' credit insurance experience, including previous roles with IRC as senior broker and at Euler Hermes as a key account executive.

She will provide sales and servicing capabilities for the credit insurance needs of Oval's London clients and aim to develop new contacts within the South East in a drive to expand Oval's business.

Gifford said: "Joining Oval at this time is particularly exciting as its ambitions and growth plans enable me to look to strengthen the existing client base and add a fresh dimension and new product offering for the Oval southern regional offices."

A fluent French speaker, Gifford's hobbies include chess, travel, skiing, squash and distance running.
