Lloyd's insurer XL London Market has promoted Martin Jackson, to class underwriter and Paul Maguire to deputy class underwriter for Syndicate 1209's aviation account.
Cox
Cox Insurance has appointed Graeme Sutton as head of group marketing. The newly created role follows the recent introduction of Cox's new internal company structure.
Sutton joined Cox in July 2001 as marketing manager within the commercial division and was subsequently appointed business director of wholesale division.
Previously, Sutton was group marketing manager for Independent Insurance, sales and marketing director for Members Select and also held sales and marketing positions with Orion Insurance and Royal & SunAlliance.
HSB Haughton Engineering
HSB Haughton Engineering Insurance Services announces that Mick Taylor has been appointed senior development executive to its west region.
Taylor will be based at the company's Bristol office and will be responsible for the development of brokers and agents in Bristol, South Wales and the South West.
He assists Tim James who is now regional manager (Midlands and west region) and based in Birmingham.

Primary Travel
Primary Travel Insurance Services has appointed a team of three to continue its development within the travel insurance sector.
Simon Strong, now heads up Primary Travel Insurance Services as managing director, having made the move from Aon Sure Travel.
Backing Strong is the new head of sales for the travel account, Simon Parsons, who joins Primary from Sterling Travel Insurance, with day-to-day responsibility for handling the £4m Travel House Group account.
Darren Jennings, who worked with Strong at Aon Sure Travel as a senior broker, will now be underwriting and managing a portfolio of various travel schemes, using his experience of schemes underwriting to add new value to Primary's product range.
JL Manson
JL Manson & Partners, the Manchester-based broker, has appointed Barry Cattheral and Viv Bain as account handlers.
Cattheral will be responsible for providing a range of solutions and support to commercial customers, while Bain will specifically assist with the personal insurance portfolio of executive clients. Between them they have over 15 years' experience in the insurance industry.
Deacon Insurance Services
John Gorham has joined Deacon Insurance Services as the Bournemouth-based broker's compliance manager, following a two-year period at GISC. Gorham will be responsible for ensuring that Deacon complies with GISC and FSA regulations, oversee the compliance of binding authorities with insurers, and advise on corporate guidelines for Turnbull.
Millers
The Miller Insurance Group (Millers) has appointed Steve Johnson as a director.
Johnson will be working within the North America unit, concentrating on both contract and facultative business.
He has almost 30 years' experience of the insurance industry and has experience of the excess and surplus lines marketplace.
He was previously employed at Harman Kemp North America., where he worked since its formation in 1991. Prior to this he worked with the same team at Frizzell North America.
Corrie and Partners
Corrie and Partners (a subsidiary of Lloyd's broker Corrie Bauckham Batts) announces the formation of Entertainment Risk Management. The new company will specialise in underwriting cover for the film, entertainment and media industry.
Directors include John Green (formerly with Crawley Warren and Benfield Greig film and entertainment division) and Karl Crawford (formerly with Chubb Insurance); Dawn James-Dawson will be acting as underwriting assistant.

Carter Marine
Mike Wood has joined Carter Marine as a claims technician. Wood has over 30 years' experience in the shipping industry and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the European short sea market and of claims involving intermodal cargo-carrying units which can be used in a global market.
CTC Services
Paul May has been appointed chairman and chief executive of CTC Services, the global provider of loss adjusting and risk consultancy services formed earlier this year from the merger of four leading companies.
He will also continue as executive director with strategic responsibility for HR of the parent company, Charles Taylor Consulting.
John McKay the managing director of CTC Services' aviation division, formerly LAD (Aviation), becomes deputy chairman of CTC Services. He joins the board of Charles Taylor Consulting.

Sherwood International
Sherwood International, the global insurance technology solutions specialist, has named Dan Sobotincic chief technology officer, and appointed Alex Davis director of global strategic projects.
Both report directly to chief executive officer Mike Shinya.
Prior to this appointment, Sobotincic served as executive vice president of Sherwood's property and casualty division.
Based in the UK, Davis was previously Sherwood International's director of development.
Shipowners Claims Bureau
Michael Mitchell has joined Shipowners Claims Bureau (SCB), managers of the American Club, to occupy the newly-established corporate position of general counsel, based in New York.
He comes from Haight Gardner Holland & Knight, where he was a partner for several years in the firm's maritime practice.

MMT Management Consulting
MMT Management Consulting, part of MMT Computing (MMT), has appointed a new business development manager, Richard Muddiman.
Muddiman will head up all sales and marketing for the division.
Albany RTA Group
Claims management specialist Albany RTA Group has appointed Susan Howe as operations development manager.
Howe, who has 20 years' experience within the insurance industry, will have responsibility for change management and project implementation across the Albany Group, which includes legal expense insurer Albany ULR.
She will be based at the firm's Peterlee headquarters and her first projects will include the launch of Albany's 24-hour call centre operation.
