WiseCall
Mike Green and Jonathan Boatman have joined WiseCall as business development executives, with responsibility for developing client portfolios in Wales and the Southwest and the North respectively.

Heather Buglass joins as operations manager. Dave Conway joins as assistance claims manager. Previously, he worked for five years at Albany ULR.

NCM
Gerard van der Stelt, 44, chief executive of international credit insurer NCM, will leave NCM to pursue other interests. Steen Parsholt, currently a member of NCM Group managing board, will succeed him. Bas Sepers, currently regional director of NCM Benelux and director of medium term business (the Netherlands), will join the NCM Group managing board.

BIB Underwriters announces three appointments. Joanne Foley joins as farm, estate and general underwriter. She previously worked at AXA Insurance.

Julie Watson joins the farm and estate insurance division from Iron Trades Insurance where she worked as a personal lines technician.

Colleen Gray joins as a data processor.

Landau Manson
Landau Manson has announced the appointment of Caroline Russell to the position of Gauntlet scheme manager.

She joins Landau Manson from Groupama's City of London office where she was a branch commercial underwriter.

Horizon
Steve McCann joins Horizon Portfolio Management as claims director, working from Horizon's office in the London Underwriting Centre.

He has more than 20 years' experience in the London Market in senior claims and finance positions and joins Horizon from CGNU, where he was London Market finance director.

BROKERS

Biba
Peter Lennon has been elected as chairman 2002 for the Belfast region of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba). He is a director of Willis & Company.

Monument
Monument Insurance Brokers has appointed Phillip Richardson as director of business development as part of a long-term strategy to expand further into the accident and health and schemes market. He joins Monument after previous positions as managing director of BMS Healthcare Consultants and director of BMS Special Risk Services.

Heath Lambert Group
Heath Lambert Insurance Services (HLIS) announces the following two appointments:

David Rudd has been appointed retail director. Prior to joining HLIS, Rudd was a senior manager at Halifax plc's subsidiary, Halifax General Insurance Services Limited (HGISL). He has also worked previously for Legal and General and the financial services division of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI) where he spent 18 years in a number of roles.

Brian Morgan has been appointed business development director. Morgan joined the Group in 1993 and joined the board of Heath Lambert Consulting in 1998. In addition to his responsibilities as business development director of Heath Lambert Insurance Services, he will also remain a non-executive director of Heath Lambert Consulting.

ACTUARY

Watson Wyatt
Watson Wyatt has appointed Mirko Cardinale to the newly appointed position of economist. He joins from the Financial Times Group.

Financial Services Forum
Richard Nolan and Adam Park join the Financial Services Forum as marketing managers. Nolan joins from SMi group. Park joins from Unisys where he was marketing manager with the global finance marketing team.

TECHNOLOGY

Perkins Slade
John Wade has been appointed to newly created role of operations director at Perkins Slade. Previously, he worked at Bain & Co.

LEGAL

Davies Lavery
Davies Lavery announces the promotion of Stephen Dewar and John Cousins to partner with immediate effect. Both were previously senior solicitors with the firm.

Dewar, who works in the firm's Maidstone office, will head up the company commercial division.

Cousins is an insurance specialist with a particular focus on property related claims. He works out of Davies Lavery's London office. He also sits as a Deputy District Judge on the London County Court circuit.

Crutes
David Foster returns to Crutes as legal executive in the general insurance litigation and police departments. He will deal with employers' liability, public liability, road traffic accidents and civil claims against the police.

Donns
Donns Solicitors has appointed Melanie Vaughan as a law costs draftsman. She joins from one of the North's largest law costs firms.

Scott Rees
Margaret Bailey, who works for Scott Rees & Co Solicitors, Skelmersdale, beat off 13 other candidates in a national ballot for the Law Society Governing Council's first ever seat representing trainee solicitors and students.

The Law Society represents and regulates more than 80,000 solicitors practising in England and Wales.

Bailey, who qualifies as a solicitor later this year, will hold the seat on the council for two years.

Home Service
Jonathan King has been promoted from business development director to the new position of managing director of Home Service.

He has been with Home Service for a year, having previously headed up business development for The Boots Company's international retail division.

OTHER
Simon Hancox has been appointed to the new position of managing director of Home Hotline.

Hancox has substantial experience within the insurance sector having been director of client development with AXA Assistance UK Limited and prior to that client services manager with Inter Partner Assistance UK.
