Huntingdon Life Sciences, the controversial laboratory targeted by violent animal rights protestors, will now be insured by the Government.
Concerted initimidation against the company's broker Marsh, plus Huntingdon's employees and investors, led the Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt to announce yesterday that the government will insure all the group's activities around the world.
Last month Marsh UK chairman Hamish Ritchie resigned from the board of the English National Ballet after a performance of The Nutcracker was disrupted by activists.
