Guy Carpenter appoints head of casualty

Guy Carpenter has announced that it has hired Georg Fuelles to head European casualty strategy.

Fuelles will be based in the Zurich office, where he will focus on developing casualty business in central Europe.

Fuelles joins Guy Carpenter from Partner Re, where he held various senior underwriting positions in its casualty specialty unit. He has particular expertise in international product and manufacturer’s liability.

Guy Carpenter chief executive, EMEA operations Nick Frankland said: “Georg’s expertise combines both a thorough understanding of the European casualty sector with the considerable regional insight he has gained from working across a number of key territories. We see significant opportunities for further development of our European casualty operations, and he will play a leading role in helping us further enhance our position in this sector.”
