The growing generation of people improving their properties rather than moving out is at risk of not being covered by their current home insurance policies, according to Halifax General Insurance.
To protect this new type of homeowner Halifax is offering 'unlimited sum insured cover' which ensures home improvements are included.
Managing Director of Halifax Howard Posner said: "In this climate, it is essential that home insurance cover keeps pace with changing properties."
