US-based HCC Insurance has announced it is to acquire 34% interest in the common shares of Leicester-based DeMontfort Group. The shares will be purchased from CNA Surety.
HCC has also agreed to purchase preferred shares and indebtedness from CNA Surety, for an undisclosed cash sum.
The transaction is subject to UK regulatory approvals.
