Broker gearing up for growth in the North West region

Heath Lambert has announced that as of 1 February 2008 Tom Hayes will be assuming the role of head of office for the group’s Manchester office, enabling the previous head of office David Rudman, to concentrate upon maintaining and developing both existing and future major client connections.

Also, Mark Mansfield joins as business development executive from Marsh while Chris Barnett from DTE Risk will be operations manager.

These changes signal the start of an exciting period of investment in the business and in the region.

Tom Hayes, formerly of Marsh, who joined the Group in September, said: “As the UK’s leading independent insurance broker, we place great significance on our commitment to providing first class local service through our strong regional network of offices. We combine our local knowledge with an ability to work with the team from our London HQ and other offices around the country.

"The knowledge and expertise that we possess, combined with our access to the leading insurance markets, ensure that we can deliver the solutions our clients need, when they need them and cost effectively.”

“Heath Lambert Group is making this investment at a time when we see competitors having to fundamentally review their business models, which is hitting the quality of their offering to their clients.”

David Rudmans focus will be on maintaining and developing existing clients and prospective client connections.

In addition, Mark Mansfield joins the team from Marsh, where he spent six years working in a number of roles; most recently project manager and business development.

He will be responsible for developing business opportunities and for expanding the market reach of the solutions and services offered to businesses in the North West.

Mansfield said: “I am excited to be joining Heath Lambert. The team is very dynamic and talented and has an enviable client list, which I am looking forward to building on. I am confident that 2008 will see us increase our presence in Manchester, as we work with more clients and insurers.”

Finally, Chris Barnett will be joining the team in February as operations manager. He has previously worked for SBJ and other insurance businesses in the North West. Chris’s role will include the leadership of the internal client service team.
