Broker has made a number of new appointments

Leeds-based Henderson Insurance Brokers has announced 12 new appointments within the past six weeks.

“All the appointments are for additional positions, not replacements,” said chief executive Joe Henderson.

The 12 new recruits are: Brian Tourle, who joins as associate director at Henderson’s London-based surety division specialising in the construction industry and professional indemnity insurance. He previously worked for Coface in London.

Chris Thompson joins as associate director for Henderson’s corporate division at its Leeds Riverside office. He previously worked for Weller Russell & Laws in Peterborough, where he had been a board director since May 2001.

Giles White joins Henderson’s Newcastle office as a commercial broker having moved from a similar post with Towergate.

Jamie Rhodes is one of four new appointments to the Henderson office in Tingley, south Leeds. Mr Rhodes has been appointed as senior claims technician. He was previously with Zurich.

Also joining the Tingley office are: Tracey Owen, who joins as a new business account executive having previously worked for ECS, Aon and Marsh; Laura Youds, who becomes a new business development executive having previously worked for Mercedes Benz; and Kirsty Spencer, who joins from Oval as a private client broker.

A further two people have joined Henderson’s Kirmington office: Paul Taylor joins as a claims executive, having worked previously for DFDS as a claims administrator; and Jodie Wiseman becomes a trainee broker, having recently finished college.

Caroline Thompkins has joined to Stockton office as a receptionist/administrator, having previously held similar posts in local legal and insurance offices.

Ron Brander also joined the Manchester office as an associate director and Gayle Connolly as servicing broker, following Henderson's acquisition UK Credit Insurance Specialists.
