Chris Midgley (pictured) joins Yorkshire broking group’s Hessle branch

Yorkshire-based broker Henderson has hired Chris Midgley as senior account executive in its Hessle branch.

Midgley, who previously worked for another broker in York, has 20 years’ broking experience. In his new role at Henderson he will be responsible for developing Henderson’s client base and promoting the broker’s services.

Henderson associate director Andy Wakefield said: “Chris is very well respected throughout the local market and is a great addition to our growing team.”

Henderson’s Hessle branch opened in 2004. It places more than £9m of premium with insurers and employs 14 staff.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
