Heritage is planning to increase its stake in syndicates 1200 and 3245 from 8% to 50%.

The company said it had successfully raised £9.1m capital through the private placing of ordinary shares and had arranged a £3.6m long-term unsecured loan capital.

The company projected capacity for Syndicate 1200 and Syndicate 3245 would be £208m, half of which would be provided by Heritage and its shareholders, partly through annual capital.

The company said Syndicate 1200 would underwrite £150m of premium income across a range of worldwide property accounts.

Syndicate 3245, it said, had a growing book of non-US professional liability business totalling £58m.
