Motor insurer teams up with repair specialist to drive operations forward

Highway Insurance has launched a dedicated motorcycle damage repair network as it looks to further strenghten its motor operations.

The insurer has appointed 4th Dimension, a specialist motorcycle design and engineering company, to operate the network for their motorcycle customers.

This follows last year’s introduction of both private car and commercial vehicle approved repairer networks.

Peter Gallagher, Highway’s claims director said: “Claims are a key focus for Highway and the addition of our third specialist approved repairer network demonstrates our commitment to having greater control over our claims processes to ensure a first class claims experience for our brokers and their customers."

Neil Foster, managing director of 4th Dimension added: “Our UK-wide network of specialist engineers will be able to repair bikes that would be classed as total loss by non-specialist repairers to both minimise time off the road and reduce claims costs.”

Highway said notification of motorcycle claims will continue to be serviced in-house by specialist Highway claims handlers, but customers will now be given access to a website allowing them to track the progress of their motorcycle repair.

With repair centres in six locations across the country this UK-wide network will service all motorcycle repairs for Highway. Special arrangements are in place for Northern Ireland customers.
