Philip Dicken has been appointed head of insurance at law firm Hugh James.

In his new role, Dicken will take responsibility for relationships with insurers and intermediaries. He will also focus on the development of new products.

Dicken commented: “We are already recognised for the high level of service and professionalism of our insurance work. I see it is important not only to maintain our reputation as a strong provider but to break the mould of the traditionally narrow view of the services that a law firm can provide to the insurance industry.

“We will continue to innovate and evolve with the industry to ensure the solutions we provide actually meet our clients' needs.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
