imarket, the UK general insurance industry portal, has added a new training section to its recently updated imarketinfo.co.uk advice website for brokers.

As well as the latest information on product and insurer availability, the revamped site contains a new training section with step-by-step guides to print and top tips from system users.

Brokers can sign up to receive email updates on new products and the planned addition of core services such as MTAs and renewals and electronic cover notes, said Polaris, the company behind imarket.

It is also preparing a series of animated training demos which explain how a typical imarket transaction works and shows how to access the various different services on offer.

The demos will show the software as it is being used on screen with a voiceover explaining what is happening and will be available on the www.imarketinfo.co.uk website.

Peter Knowles, Strategy and Marketing Director at Polaris said: “We know brokers want better training on how to use imarket – and this is exactly what we are aiming to do with the new website. The training animations will help brokers to overcome the understandable fear factor often associated with using new technology.”

imarket, operated by Polaris U.K. Limited on behalf of participating insurers, allows insurers and brokers to trade online, using a secure, fully-integrated system.
