The online reinsurance trading platform inreon has expanded into the Asian market by opening an office in Hong Kong.
This expansion is expected to greatly increase the amount of reinsurance business conducted online. Several of the region's largest reinsurance buyers have already joined inreon, including three of Taiwan's largest insurers.
Executive Chairman and CEO Kaj Ahlmann said: "Expansion will drive the reinsurance sector to intensify its search for more cost effective and transparent distribution channels. By joining inreon Asian insurers and reinsurers will have fast, efficient access to a wide range of business partners across the globe."
